About

LU5DX’s Blog. (this one is to experiment with New Web Technologies    /CMSes mostly using PHP, Python, ASP.NET and different RDBMS such   as MySQL, Firebird,  PostgreSQL, MS-SQL Server, etc) that provide      dymamic content collection and publishing through easy to use rich    interfaces. Data sources may vary from RSS Feeds, through Complex  Data Transformation Services, including data acquisition from other  on-line media, blogging or news platforms. CMSes tested so far include: Plone, Drupal, Xoops, TikiWiki, Joomla, PostNuke, Roxen, Xaraya, Typo3,Wordpress, MediaWiki and OpenCMS by Alkacon Software (this one rocks and I contributed for some functionality needed at www.lacapital.com.ar and www.diariouno.net.ar ). I’ve implemented Open CMS for corporate blogging/news on-line solutions. It is purely based in Java and XML and runs just great on a LAMP enviroment.

Other technologies tested on this server are AJAX, JBoss, Pentaho, Kettle, Ruby on Rails, ASP.net, etc.

You can find a copy / Back up at www.lu5dx.blogspot.com. Pictures are usually stored in Picasa http://picasaweb.google.com/lu5dx.cw  and videos are usually stored in www.youtube.com/lu5dx, this is so to save hard disk space in my server and to speed up the back up processes. With simple scripts you can grab image, video and other media files from remote servers that provide free storage services for your files.

If you need a robust, highly available, dynamic, interactive web or intranet solution for: blogging/news/corporate/media/education/CRM, etc. or if you  need  a world class solution for your data warehousing/data mining/business intelligence needs , please drop Jason Moore a note to : info@5bits.net
